Cozumel is an amazing little island to visit, if you plan on vacationing anywhere along the Riviera Maya. It’s right across the water from Playa del Carmen, and offers up small town flavor for those who want to escape the resorts and tourist traps of bigger cities and towns. It is particularly famous for its beautiful waters and coral reefs (part of the the great Mesoamerican Barrier Reef), which are perfect for scuba diving and snorkeling. The island itself is small enough that you can go from one end to the other in a little over 15 minutes.

If you plan on spending the day at Cozumel, then you should definitely think about booking a tour at the Cozumel Pearl Farm. This is a lovely farm with its own white sand beach that is home to some of the most beautiful pearls in the Caribbean. If you get hungry or thirsty, don’t worry because there are bars and restaurants throughout the park, so no matter where you are you will find something to satisfy your hunger or thirst.

The Island Museum is the perfect place to visit if you want to learn a bit more about the history of the island of Cozumel and see some of the art and ecological exhibitions.
